ESPORTS FESTIVAL MANILA 2016

Have you ever heard of eSports Festival? It is the most popular gaming event in Mindanao and Visayas which started back in 2012. ESF Cebu is the home of the national qualifiers of the IeSF World Championship. The winners of the annual event are sent to the eSports World Championship to represent the Philippines to compete against the world.
 
Few weeks ago, I got invited through Cebu Blogging Community to attend eSports Festival 2015. ESF Cebu is not new to me because my friend kept on telling me about it. According to her, it is the most awaited event of many gamers because it is their chance to meet and greet the top teams of DOTA. ESF Cebu is also the time where gamers of Dota, Hearthstone, Starcraft, League of Legends, Tekken, Crossfire and Clash of Clans competed with each other.

 What is Philippine eSports Organization?

Philippine eSports Organization is part of a huge world organization called International eSports Federation which was founded by the Korean Government. The said federation aims to uplift eSports in the world and bring computer games to traditional sporting events such as the South East Asian Games, Asian Indoor Games and eventually the Olympics. PeSO is founded by Brian Lim, an owner of numerous businesses in the country, and is operated together with one of the popular eSports icon here in the Philippines Irymarc "Tryke" Gutierrez.
On the last day of the Esports festival, Peso announced that it will soon be holding an Esports festival in Manila in 2016, together with the most popular Cosplayer in the world according to TheRichest.com, Alodia Gosiengfiao, carrying its goal of opening the Esports avenue nationwide and elevating gaming events in the Philippines. Having been organizing different events herself, Alodia couldn’t help but share her excitement to work with Peso in handling the coming Esports festival in Manila.
